1988 Vixen SE/TD #505, rare factory hybrid with the high SE roof for headroom and the BMW turbodiesel.
This Vixen is complete and was running perfectly when parked in late 2009 other than a transmission issue. It has been in dry storage since then, and will need a full recommissioning. We have not tested any mechanical or electrical systems. This coach is being sold as a project in "as is" condition.
It is not currently running and must be towed, however it does roll.
The ring and pinion failed, so the transmission was removed, and the ring and pinion replaced. The repaired transmission comes with the Vixen and needs to be reinstalled.
Full VIN 16XDMC16J1010505. 216,888 actual miles (odometer is correct).
It comes with a full set of manuals and extensive service documentation from the previous owner.
This Vixen is located in upstate New York, in the town of Esperance, about 40 minutes west of Albany. The zip code is 12066. It is stored in an industrial park with plenty of space for a large truck and trailer rig to maneuver. We will be happy to work with your shipper.
It will be sold with a clear Maine title ( we lived in Maine when we bought the Vixen) and a bill of sale.
