Vehicle description
This is a 1986 21 foot Toyota Sunrader Motorhome which I have owned since 1999. It is currently registered in California, recently passed smog, and starts and runs well. It has the original Toyota 22R-E 2.4 L straight-four 4-stroke gasoline engine with 96,704 miles on it.
I will attempt to detail to the best of my knowledge what works and runs well as well as what doesn’t. As this is a used vehicle with some issues, there may be things not working which I am unaware and this vehicle is sold as-is without any sort of warranty or guarantee. This vehicle would make a great restoration project but can be used as-is if you need a motorhome immediately!
The back dining area has been permanently converted to a bed so this RV sleeps 4 comfortably. You could convert the back back into a dining area but this auction does not include the original table.
This vehicle has some damage to the right side as a result of an accident in 2007. It has a salvage title as a result. You can see this damage on the top bunk Window, near the main RV door, and in the kitchen window. The right rear RV window was very damaged and it was sealed in an ad hoc manner. Please see the photos and let me know if you need more detailed photos/more info. Good points: Engine runs well, rebuilt transmission put in approx. 10 years ago Toilet, sinks, water pumps work New alternator was installed 2 years ago New fridge, stove, RV AC unit installed approx. 15 years ago and all function. Fridge cools well and works on propane or electric Awning works but has slight damage from accident. Plastic leveling blocks included Known issues: Vehicle AC does not cool unit Cruise Control does not work, controls are damaged as well Damage from accident (see above) Not entirely water-tight. There is some water damage, mostly around back windows, damage near door. Vehicle has been covered with a tarp last few years RV gas heater makes a squealing noise Grey water tank needs new outlet valve Slight water leak from toilet when water pump is on. Back bumper is bent and doesn’t take waste hose. Front bumper is at an angle and has loose plastic on one side Stereo system not working Unknowns: I have not tried the water heater in many years
