Vehicle description
1986 Fleetwood Bounder - 30 foot, newly remodeled with new floors and a bathroom. I drove this bounder from Connecticut to the Bay Area 5 years ago and have been working on it in one place ever since. Can’t vouch for how it will drive now, it’s been 5 years since it’s seen any real road action. It will always start, but you never know what will happen after that.
I built a wood pantry/table out of cherry and cedar with 4 functioning drawers made from redwood. There is a lot of original overhead storage, I removed 2 of the doors on the storage for more open shelving.
Over the kitchen, there’s a solid hardwood shelf. The original Magic Chef oven works, I replaced the hood under the shelf to have less overhead clutter above the kitchen. The hot water heater is attached on the outside, but can easily be changed to put inside.
Brand new bathroom with a live edge redwood counter, an overhead solid hardware storage shelf and newly tiled shower with a ledge for holding products or for propping up your leg while shaving! Exposed copper shower head and utility valves for modern industrial vibes. Brand new toilet. Roof in the bathroom has a vent and working fan.
Bedroom dimensions are 89” wide by 70” long and will fit a Queen bed easily. There are 6 overhead storage cabinets, one doesn’t have a door.
The 2 front seats are not currently installed, they are the original seats and will be installed after purchase to drive to your destination. If you only want the drivers seat installed, that’s possible too.
The outside has the original paint, it’s had a few leaks in the past and those have been sealed. The awning still works.
This is a great fresh start for building a little apartment in a stationary spot, probably not best for too much driving. The odometer reads 78,476 miles. It’s built on a indestructible Chevy truck frame and it’s easy and cheap to find parts and maintain if you did want to be on the road.
I cut a small square in the floor that leads to a compartment below the floor where I kept my cat’s litter box, it really helped to reduce the smell and the cat loved it.
The AC is original and still works!
The sofa folds down into a bed and can be in a few different positions in the living room area. The jute rug and new blinds are all included.
All of the original paperwork and manual included, but no title. And yes, this is the same year and model as the one in Breaking Bad!
