Vehicle description
1985 Olds Cutlass Calais. Not running. RACE CAR.
From what I can gather, this is a former IMSA GTO class Oldsmobile that ran much of the 1986 IMSA season and perhaps the Kelly American Challenge series the year before. I"ve poured over You Tube videos of races, dug up photos and and spoken to people who would know or potentially worked on the car (I won"t name drop here).
I"m 89.7% sure this is the car that Harry Gant, Terry Labonte, Benny Parsons and Phil Parsons were scheduled to drive in the 1986 Sun Trust Bank 24 Hours of Daytona. This was about the time NASCAR was encouraging their drivers to get ready for what would be their RL or Right/Left Series they were looking at starting.
The pictures say a lot. You get the car as it is shown in the main picture complete. The guy I bought it from, put it in his Arizona desert garage in the early 2000s after a race and never pushed the starter again. You also get enough engine blocks, cranks, cams, valves, pistons etc to build a couple more race motors.
It"s taking up 2 bays in my garage and I need it gone as I renovate my home.
You have to come and get it. No car until payment clears. You will get a bill of sale.
Email if you have questions.
No Reserve. Move quick.
