Vehicle description
I have a 1984 GMC 7000 horse van for sale. I purchased this truck second hand some years ago. This truck is equipped with a 7 horse Imperatore box on it. Since I have owned it I have rebuilt just about the whole box. I have had all the uprights re-painted, the wood sanded and varnished, the dividers re-upholstered, new rubber mats, and so on. The box is beautiful and ready to haul horses. In 2014, on the exterior I had all the sheet metal sand blasted and the rust addressed. The wheel wells were cut out and redone with all new metal. The exterior of the box was then repainted to original colors and to this day looks beautiful with few blemishes. The box can do single, doubles, and box stalls. The doors in the back have their own ramp and enter into a stallion stall for that stubborn horse that needs to be alone or the area could be used as storage for tack trunks and so-forth for the big shows. The frame is clean! Mechanically, the truck is mostly re-done also. It is equipped with a gas 427 big-block crate motor. My guess is this motor was installed in the 90"s at some point. It runs very well. The distributor, cap, and rotor are brand new. The plugs are also brand new. The ignition wires are the expensive ceramic ones that protect against that big block manifold heat and are also brand new. Recently, I took out the holley governed carb and installed a brand new Holley 650 four barrel carb. The rear main was also re-done. Two years ago the clutch was replaced and the transmission was rebuilt. The transmission is a Clark 5+2 and it shifts well. The brakes are in good shape and the hydrobooster was just replaced a yr back. There are like new rear tires on the rear and decent tread on the front. Only rus,t is a few small bubbles on the cab of the truck. Overall decent for the age but there is some wear associated with a truck of this age. This ole girl is ready to haul horses to the show with class and dignity you can"t buy today. I"m sure I"m missing something so please feel free to call Adam at
