Vehicle description
The Buckeye Bus!
This 26" 1978 Elaganza II was purchased from the original owner in 2001 who was a friend of the current owner. It"s 68,602 miles are accurate and it had an extensive restoration at Buskirk Rush RV in Sandusky, Michigan. The interior was entirely gutted and replaced. (see pictures below) A rebuilt transmission and rear end were added along with a retractable awning. In total, over $75,000 was spent on this vehicle which then traveled between Upper Arlington, Ohio and the French Field house parking lot (10 miles round trip) about 6 times a year before Andy Geiger screwed that up. Since the 2001 restoration it has been driven less than 4,000 miles. It has been stored in doors for the past 5 years and the time has come to let a new generation of Buckeye Fans make their own memories in it.
See the pictures below for details on the restoration.
We have replaced all three batteries, the main engine and the 2 deep cycles for the accessories. The A/C does work! Even the Dash A/C functions well. Engine starts and runs great, transmission feels good and the brakes work. Then auto leveling system works great! Given that it has been sitting in storage for 5 years with limited use, we would recommend the brakes and fluids be checked by an RV dealer before it"s driven daily. But it"s ready for a new home. Don"t let this one slip through your fingers! It will sell fast!
