Vehicle description
RARE / Funky / Cool! 1975 Airstream Argosy 24 foot Motorcoach / Astrovan
Running and Driving! Only 38,000 miles
RV project with original interior. Argosy Built these first generation motorhome Airstreams on the Chevrolet Dual Rear Axle Chassis. The 454 Big Block Chevy gas motor runs strong. The Automatic Transmission functions properly and the power brakes operate normally and safely. These 24" Motorhomes are excellent for maneuverability and versatility in America"s most iconic, highest regarded, best built, most recognized travel brand in history. A:I:R:S:T:R:E:A:M
When Plugged into 30amp power, The Rooftop AC functions properly and blows cold. There is 110v AC power at the interior outlets. Two LCD TV"s have been installed that both work. There is a rear view camera and monitor that are untested. There is a tow package and electronic brake controller installed.
There is an ONAN LPG Generator on board that has not been tested but shows just 193 hours of operation.
This Airstream Argosy is a self contained RV and is sold as-is and should be considered a project. It comes from a dry climate and Due to age, It should be assumed that all RV systems (water, LPG, 12V electrical) will need some kind of repair or maintenance to function properly.
This is a fantastic platform and excellent "bones" for an original restoration or completely re-imagined motorhome, mobile office, retail vendor or food truck.
I have extra hubcaps, Tires hold air and in "good" condition. I have curved aluminum for the missing lower exterior door. I have a water heater cover for the exterior. The exterior refrigerator vent cover is missing. Good glass all around, Pass side rear curved window is plexi. Good windshield minimal small rock chips. no cracks. Door latches with deadbolt lock only. Window tracks have mold from moisture. no advanced rust in frame. Body is "good" overall. dusty, dirty. no visible water damage to interior walls or floor. 2 dents in the steel cap rear look poppable.
Ask Questions. Moving and must sell NO RESERVE
(208) 409-8519 This is rare opportunity to own a wonderfully "so ugly, its cute" not boring collectible piece of Airstream history. It is sure to appreciate in value and so much better than any run of the mill garbage RV today. Not to mention at a much lower price than a modern Airstream! I am willing to help arrange shipping at buyers expense. I have resources that offer very reasonable rates through a network of auto/RV shippers and open transports capable of hauling something of this size.
Because I want to represent this RV honestly and accurately I am aware of a small leak at the fuel tank filler neck. It only leaks when filling but dribbles a little bit. Does not leak otherwise and not a complicated or expensive fix.
Important:
Clean, Transferrable Title in my name! I went to great efforts in obtaining a certificate of title on this poor, forsaken diamond in the ruff. Be pleased it was my obligation and not yours :) After completing all requirements by the state of Idaho including a 50 state search vin inspection. I was able to verify that this vehicle is free and clear of any record of current titled ownership, theft, accidents, salvage, or any liens or encumbrances. Please see Idaho Conditional Title facts for details.
Please. Serious Buyers only!
