Up for auction is a 1973 Avion Lagrande Aluminum camper, similar to an airstream. The Avion is a close relative to the Airstream and Streamline travel trailer families. Although Airstream is the most well-known brand in aluminum trailers, many consider Avion of the 1970s and 1980s to be of superior construction quality. The 28ft Avion is comparable to the Airstream Overlander and Ambassador models. This vintage 1973 28 foot Avion Le Grande Travel Trailer is a wonderful example of the original vintage aluminum aircraft-style “silver bullet” travel trailer which has become an American icon. We have a clean clear title in hand along with all the owners manuals and service papers. We also has the original owners contact info. The interior is all original except for new flooring, new curtains, and bedding (never slept on) which are included. It has a bathroom with a shower, two beds, and the table can be converted for sleeping. The sleeping area can be closed off as seen in pics. We also have the original blinds which will come with it. It has the rooftop A/C which Works and blows cold. We have never hooked it to gas, so I don"t know if the stove, furnace, or fridge works. The exterior needs to be polished. We polished one portion to see what it would look like (see pic) and it shines up like Chrome. The two exterior awnings are in working order and are included, but were removed since the vinyl is in bad condition and will need to be replaced. It also comes with one large gas cylinder that isn"t pictured. The roof is in good repair and doesn"t leak. The set of Michelin tires are good with no weather cracks, can be pulled anywhere. It is showing its age in some places, such as the cabinets, but they are useable. I"ve seen several similar remodeled and turned into tiny houses, you have a blank slate to do with whatever you like. Can be seen in person with an appointment. A non refundable deposit of $300 is due at auction end, no exceptions. The remainder to be paid and camper picked up within 7 days of auction ending.
