1972 Avion LaGrande 28" camper. The title says 1972 but it was built with the 1973 outer shell. I attached the frame tag as one of the photos for your to see. No major dings or dents in the outer shell. This is a great project. We have all of the inner skins for this unit. The plan was to update and modernize it. As you can see in the list below, we have a lot of time and money invested in this unit but due to back issues, I am not able to complete it. Would love to see someone take the restoration the rest of the way and enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. Trailer is sold as is and deposit is non refundable. Trailer must be paid for within 72 hours of winning your bid. Happy bidding!
We purchased this with the hopes of doing a complete overhaul. So far we have done the following: 1. Coated and sealed the roof (appx. 7 months ago), 2. Replaced the AC unit with a brand new Dometic Penguin Low-profile AC 3. Replaced the roof vent fans with 2 dual direction Max Air Fans , 4. Removed all the old spray-on insulation, started adding sound deadener and insulation to the walls 5. Removed and resealed the front window , 6. Removed and replaced the entire floor , 7. Replaced the fresh water tank with a new larger unit, 8. Cleaned and recoated the entire frame in Por-15 , 9. Replaced all of the trailering wiring, 10. Started on the main electrical wiring, 11. Replaced the main connector for the vehicle 12. Added 4, 100watt solar panels to the roof 13. There is an underbelly. 14. All interior skins are there 15. There are no interior furnishings 16. Tow ready (we towed it 3.5 hours from Arkansas to get it here at around 65 mph. 17. We have the original lights but installed temporary trailer lights for towing 18. If it does not sell during this bid then the plans are to continue to work on it and raise the price. 19. There is a front window rock-guard that will need to be repaired with fiberglass but is not in the pictures due to it needing to be repaired. 20. There are no leaks in the trailer. There are screw holes from where I removed the awning that is sealed with sealent. 21. There are no issues with the frame or body. 22. The roof was sealed with the white coating becuase it helps reflect the heat and this helps regulate the internal tempratures better. It was not leaking then or now. 23. The only tanks that come with it are the new fresh water tank and the original grey water tank.
This is a great unit and most of the work has been completed. The goal was to have the vintage outside look with modern insides.
