Vehicle description

1970 Duster Pro Stock body in white. For sale is the Sox & Martin Duster that won the U.S. Nationals and Super Nationals in 1970. This has gone through a 7-year investigation and also has one visual physical aspect that is irreputable. It was upgraded in its early life like most, for appearance to reflect a current year Duster for promotional purposes. (Re: 1971-72-73) It started with Sox & Martin. It was said to be destroyed within months but it wasn’t, with proof. It then was purchased by Rufus Boyd, a popular successful heavy-set individual based out of New York. The fun story, is he instantly painted it black and street raced it for $20K to $30k a race without any one knowing they were going against a national title holder. Rufus then loaned it to Reid Wisnett of Atlanta Race Cars who set a national record with it. It was also loaned to Walt Ballard. Rufus campaigned it as the “Brooklyn Heavy”. Rufus then loaned it to Ronny Lyles who raced it. His well-known car has never been found. This is that car. The Duster merely changed colors each time with different race teams. This was an inventive way to disguise this car. Beware, this car will never be verified by the people who originally raced it first. This is not anything they want to discuss. Far more to the story. Impeccable investigators reputation. The buyer is welcome to speak with this individual. Stored for close to 40 years. Hemi and 4 speed missing, otherwise complete as last raced. I’ve owned this for 8 years and I’m not a drag racing enthusiast. It"s going out of my life. Interested buyers please. NO EMAILS $27,500.
