Vehicle description
A one of a kind Silver Eagle, with a drivers entrance door and a mid entrance door on the curb side. A former Trailways bus, the total mileage is unknown. We have owned this bus for over 30 years and it has been stored inside all of that time when we were not traveling in it. All of the work (mechanical and customization) was done in our shop by my Dad and myself, as we have been in the commercial charter bus business for 70 plus years. The engine is a Detroit Diesel 8V-71engine that has less than 15k miles on it since a major O/H - transmission is a manual Spicer 8814 - 4 speed that can be converted to an Allison HT-740 if desired. The bus is in top notch mechanical condition with all wheels and brakes being routinely serviced. Manual steering has been updated to hydraulic power. Tires are 1100RX24.5 with 2 new steer tires and 60% rubber on rear drive and tags. Eagle’s patented torsalastic suspension give the coach one of the smoothest rides you will find in any vehicle. Conversation features include: 18kw Kubota diesel generator with approximately 300hours since new 2.5 ton 50amp Coleman HVAC - mounted in lower bay (no roof units) Approximately 100 gallon fresh water fiberglass tank Approximately 75 gallon “gray water” tank Approximately 75 gallon “black water” sanitary waste tank Approximately 20 gallon 220v hot water heater 110v - 220v shore power with 30’ heavy shore line Retractable awning (approximately 16’x12’) Satellite DirectTV with 19” front flip down monitor and 14” aft flip down Flushable toilet Full Shower and sink Custom oak wood cabinets and accents throughout New Norcold 3-way refrigerator / freezer Stove with oven Floor is partial wood and burber carpet Dinette that converts to a bed that sleeps 2 comfortably Rear state room by day with a sofa hideabed that sleeps 2 (queen size) Front state room features a dual recliner loveseat This project was a labor of love with well over $75k invested. Our family has enjoyed traveling in it and are now ready to let someone else enjoy it. There are NO WARRANTIES on this vehicle or any of its components. Vehicle is sold “as is - where is”
