Vehicle description
Re-listing item. Scam buyer failed to perform. Please bid only if you are truly interested in buying this time-capsule gem. Offers from buyers without bidding history will not be accepted.
This is a one-owner, always garaged in low humidity Utah, all original, 16-ft, 1967 Vintage Aristocrat Land Commander Camping Trailer with fewer than 25 trips on the "odometer."
It is in excellent condition, has no water leaks, no stains on upholstery, original paint, never hit, smells great! Title in hand.
Full disclosure: there is one rip in one of the cushions probably due to the junction of two foam pieces directly beneath the rip. The original curtains have condensation stains that were not able to be washed out. The condensation comes from the single-pane jalousie windows. The trailer officially sleeps six but realistically only if two are small or children as the upper bunk is tight. The upper bunk works great as a storage spot for bedding when the dinette and rear seating are returned to their "day" use.
The original owner is my dad. He is 90-years-old and still alive and well. He and my mom purchased it new. He always kept it garaged and up on blocks to save the tires and springs. In later years My wife and kids use it for several trips but we soon outgrew it
We have loved the layout of the trailer, the ease of pulling it up steep grades/backing it into tight campsites, the incredible storage space, and perhaps most importantly the fun conversations it starts in campgrounds with friendly neighbors who have a parent or family member who had one like it. But despite the great floorplan it is indeed tight for our family of 6 (the eldest kids are big now). That is the only reason we are selling it. We absolutely love it but purchased a larger RV for our large family. We just don"t have the space to store both. It’s hard to let go….
Aristocrats were well built in Morgan Hill, CA. The owner I. B. Perch used aircraft construction techniques (metal I-beams), real plywood (not presswood), vapor barriers, and painted aluminum panels with good seams.
The cabinetry is beautiful and light, as opposed to many trailers that look small due to dark wood and/or re-paint jobs. The jalousie windows are large, letting in lots of light and providing excellent ventilation. Original upholstery, original curtains.
All original appliances: Magic Chef 3-burner propane stove and oven, matching overhead hood, and matching ice-block refrigerator, propane heater, stainless steel sink, pullout wooden cutting board, aluminum or stainless water storage tank that runs off of pressurized air (Nevins system), and port-a-potty. Crankable Roof vent. Has a sleeve for an awning.
Overall Length: 16 feet (including the tongue)
Width: 87 inches (not including the side markers)
Height: 95 inches to the roof (not including the roof vent, this may add 2 to 3 more inches)
Included: 2" ball with stabilizer bars; Extra wide Tow mirrors, Stabilizer jacks.
7-pin adapter. 12V/110V Main. The electrical system charges deep cycle battery off of the pull vehicle.
To reiterate, this trailer is a time-capsule. It looks like it came off the showroom floor. It has not been ruined by previous "restoration" attempts.
Inspections welcomed, including third party inspections.
$500 non-refundable deposit. Deposit and final purchase price per Paypal , money order or cashier"s check. Cash accepted when meeting at a bank for verification.
