A charming, vintage camper is FOR SALE. As is, it is a fixer-upper for the determined craftsman/electrician/plumber. This 1966 camper sets on a custom boat trailer with current, permanent plates.
This silver Avion camper fits on a 3/4 ton, long bed, pick-up truck. I would like to sell it on the boat trailer which can be pulled with a ball/hitch ( like an RV ). There are 4 tires on the boat trailer and they have been sitting for many years and should be replaced before taking this rig on the road. I can also offer 2 heavy-duty, steel, trailer jacks that may assist with the renovation process of this beautiful camper.
The camper has a kitchen, a dining area that becomes a second bed, a bathroom, closet and storage space, and an upper bunk. It sleeps 2 - 4 people. At one time there was a working, electric heater and air conditioner in this classic camper. The electrical needs repair. Some of the plastic, light covers on the interior and exterior are missing.
The private bathroom has a window, toilet, sink, and shower. The floor beneath the shower and near the entrance door to the camper is weak. I would like to install a new floor that is more stable and supportive ~ perhaps a project for the enthusiastic, new owner. The camper has been dry in storage for many years outside in my yard.
There is a kitchen sink, a stove and oven with a hood, and space for a refrigerator. The original dining table and dining seat cushions were removed about 10 years ago. There is a space for water supply/storage with a plastic water tank. I have several Avion camper manuals that explain how plumbing and electrical was originally planned and how to repair and rewire. The exterior of the camper has a cabinet for the propane tank and the original, aluminum door is missing.
There are several windows in the camper. The torn screens need repair. There are two air vents on the ceiling of the camper and one of them needs to be repaired or replaced. The potential that this camper offers is a dream. It is very spacious inside and the original wood cupboards are wanting to be refinished.
