Up for sale is our newly finished 1965 Norris Camper. This gorgeous little camper is ready to hit the roads again! Done in various shades of gray, blues, and white with an elephant theme throughout. This camper is 17" from the back bumper to the tip of the hitch. The dinette is up front with the kitchen and bathroom in the middle, and master bed in the rear. The door with the full length mirror on it is the bathroom door. The storage in this camper is amazing! There is an entire wall of cabinets and drawers, storage under the dinette booths, and under the entire bed in the back, plus above the kitchen counter and sink. There isn"t an inch of wasted space! THE INTERIOR:
Has all new flooring, paint, light fixtures, faucet, toilet, water lines, screens, outlets, fridge, custom wallpaper, roof vent, upholstery on dinette cushions, curtains, electric wall heater, etc. The foam on the back bed is 6" thick and the foam on the dinette is 4" thick. The dinette does make a bed as well. We did reuse all the original cabinet hardware and latches. All of the windows are original and fully functional. The window in the front door is plexiglass as well as the window in the middle of the front window. When we bought the camper a previous owner had removed the existing framing that held the middle front window, the one right above the dinette table. The windows on either side are original and functional but the center one is a fixed piece of plexi. The aqua stove is original and in excellent shape. The 3 burners work but not the oven, it needs a part that we weren"t able to locate.
THE EXTERIOR
Has all new paint, water inlet and all windows were removed and reinstalled with new butyl tape. It does have a holding tank, I would guess it to be a 5 gallon tank. I can"t find any information about the specs for a Norris camper online and it didn"t come with any original paperwork. I have no idea what it weighs, defininitly less than 3,000 lbs. The rope and pole awning is brand new as well and matches the color scheme.
The original Bargeman lock does not have a key. The gentleman that used to make keys for these old locks for us retired and there isn"t anyone else in our area that could help. It will lock from the inside, so when your in the camper it can be locked. Leaving for the day is going to be the issue. You might could find someone to make keys in another area or add a padlock to the outside. The exterior entry step is still functional, just not so pretty!
The tires are in great shape, they are newer but not brand new. All exterior running lights have been rewired and are the signals, brake and running lights are fully functional. It has a brand new 7 pin plug for the exterior running lights. It does not have electric brakes and never did. We used the 7 pin plug so if you want to add brakes you"ll have the right plug.
I believe we are the third owners of this camper. When we got her, she did have some previous water damage. We had to take the back off and rebuild that section. Other than that, most of it was cosmetic. This camper was actually well taken care of to be 55 years old! There are some dings in the outside metal, so it"s not perfect but in my opinion, it gives her character!
Everything you see pictured comes with the sale of the camper with the exception of the tent poles for the awning. A deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of auction close and the remaining balance is due in full within 7 days of auction close via cashiers check or cash. We can store the camper here until you are able to pick it up or arrange for a shipper to pick up.
