Vehicle description
Sweet 1964 Avion Tourist 21 vintage camper trailer. I have owned this about 8 years and my family has enjoyed every time out with it. I haven"t used it much in the past year due to busy schedules so it has gotten a bit dirty and will need a good cleaning. I"ll try to describe all I know and feel free to ask questions.
Tows very nice and light weight (2600lbs or so) easily pulled behind a small SUV or even a larger car. This unit is almost stock original with not many things added to it. I have taken out a few things that I was not using like the refrigerator, stove, heater, but the sink and most all of the cabinets are there and in very good shape. I"m pretty sure all the water system is still intact and should function. Has an electric water pump in front. Has a gas hot water heater that I have not used before. I do have propane tanks for it if you want them. I had an electric refrigerator and microwave that I used with this that I might throw in if the price goes high enough. All the furniture is included but at this point will need new cushions for couches and bed. Table area folds down into a bed and back couch next to kitchen pulls out to full size bed. Easily sleeps 4 or maybe 5 if needed. Back bathroom also needs some work. The toilet and shower fixtures are there but plumbing will need to be reworked. Also the trim around the shower and toilet will need some work. Flooring has been changed in the bathroom area but could use work to finish it nicer. Most of the windows still open with screw handles, a couple might need maintenance. The back window had an air conditioning unit in it. I have since taken out the air conditioner and put a piece of plywood in the window but it would be easy to put a window back in or an air conditioner works very nicely there. I will throw one in if the price is right.
On the outside it has a few dents and dings. I think these could be fixed but I never really worried about it. The handle next to the door needs to be attached again. I did a bit of touch up painting a couple years back and as you can see didn"t match perfectly, so that could be improved. All the trailer lighting should be working fine. and tires and bearings seem to be in good working shape. Has the frame jacks included. No leaks and roof vent works. Haven"t tested electric roof vent or wall vent recently but they did work.
This would be a great vehicle to do a complete restoration as almost all is there and in original condition. This is the coolest of campers and I would love to restore it if I had the time. Please ask all questions, it is a solid unit but it is 1964 so not everything is perfect, sold as is and will need to be picked up and transported by buyer. Thanks much for looking!
