Vehicle description
Wow! Here is an awesome opportunity to take this project in the direction you choose: the hard part is already done! We have owned and restored this trailer little by little for over 2 years. We own a vintage furniture business and bought the trailer for the express purpose of advertising our wares at markets and shows. You can do a camping build out, kitchen, leave it as open retail space, ANYTHING YOU WANT! Its been a blast, but unfortunately we are moving and wont be able to keep her long term.
Clear Virginia title in my name. This trailer is for sale locally and we reserve the right to sell it before the end of the auction if a cash buyer is found.
What we had done In order of installation (some overlap): -Sanded and rust-proof painted frame from the inside -New exterior grade 3/4" plywood sub-floor painted with deck paint followed by new vertical strand bamboo. -Removed and resealed all window perimeters -New LED teardrop marker lamps all the way around. -New VTS stainless steel stop and turn signal lamps - New Carlisle premium tires (mounted to vintage aluminum wheels)* -New Axle (original suspension is in great condition) in order to boost safety and get a fresh title* -New Brakes* -New brake away safety wiring to stop the trailer if your vehicle comes detached.* -New 7-pin plug with wiring harness* -Marine fire extinguisher
*All safety items were done by well known and trusted professional trailer business local to us.
This trailer is safe to go anywhere you want to take it. We purposefully did not re-install the interior wiring as many of our trade shows require we use an independent wiring via extension cords anyways. If you choose to build the trailer out for camping, new Interior wiring should be run. We can with recommendations and design if that time comes. We can also help you design and build any cabinetry you need.
We will include a custom built oak and walnut stair case made just for this trailer. In the retail world when you have 200+ people walking through per day, you don"t want to use a trailer-mounted step which can be small and unsafe. Our custom steps are as wide as the door opening and are the same rise/run so while being stable on the ground, they are comfortable and confident.
We recommend you keep the trailer covered when in storage to protect the paint from fading in the sunlight. Trailer Covers are $189 on ebay and last about 2 years. The paint we used is Pittguard from PPG, the same paint Disney uses on their public handrails and walkways: very durable, and we have extra if there is future damage. The vinyl lettering was recently reinstalled from the original lines, as much as we could read.
Several extras will be included including original screens (and screen door), original parts, aluminum pieces, extra bamboo flooring if you decide to make more repairs, and more.
There are hundreds of process photos we can send the new owner. Please come see the trailer in person in Hamilton, VA, or have us meet you because we want to make sure the new buyer has all the information we do, and thats easier said in person.
If you need this trailer shipped, you must arrange it. I am happy to meet you within 100 miles of 20158 for a small fee.
Selling the trailer as-is, with no returns or refunds. Please complete the deposit within 24 hours, and finalize the transaction within 7 days of the auction close. We can only store the trailer temporarily.
