This 1964 Airstream Globetrotter 19" trailer is a blank slate ready for you to do whatever you want with it. It makes a great mobile office, spare guest bedroom, photo studio, hair salon, food truck, meeting space, clothing boutique, changing room, job recruiting office, you name it! The shiny mirror polish is a real head turner. And one of the coolest things about an investment like this is that a classic vintage Airstream is a collector"s items and goes up in value over time. Concession Window This Airstream has the concession window on the passenger side / curb side which is ideal when pulling up to your location. It"s held up by two gas struts. When closed, interior latches can be locked into place.
Original Windows All five of the original awning-style windows open completely to 90º. One of my favorite features of the "64 Globetrotter is the three large windows on the driver side which let in a ton of natural light.
Door This has the classic Airstream signature Door-Within-A-Door with bug screen. We added a new locking doorknob with key provided.
Floors Real hardwood engineered floors. The subfloor was replaced as needed.
Interior Electric The rear bumper houses the 120v shore power cable. Plug that into your building or generator to power the breaker box which feeds the four duplex outlets inside (total of 8 plugs inside).
Exterior Electric Rear running lights, brake lights, turn signals and hazards all work and controlled by the tow vehicle.
Moving Parts The axle, wheels, bearings, and tired were all inspected and serviced.
Weight The original factory weight was 2,890lbs. Now that we"ve removed all of the decrepid original camper equipment, it"s probably closer to 2,000 although we have not weighted it. It"s definitely easy to tow with practically any vehicle.
Length 19" total exterior length. 16" interior length.
Insulation We do not open the walls when an Airstream"s interior and exterior shells are in excellent condition like this one. So it has the original factory insulation.
