Vehicle description
This is a 1964 Airstream Globetrotter travel trailer. I have owned this Airstream since 2000. Much of this trailer is original.
Exterior: The exterior skin is in good condition. Unit was polished in 2015. There is a dent in upper left front corner and an unknown repair above the front window. Both of these defects occurred before I owned this Airstream. I believe that all windows are original except for the rear window in the bathroom which was changed to allow for window air conditioner. Window cranks work as they should. Unit has no known leaks. Original retractable step at door. Tires are brand new and wheel bearings have just been repacked.
Interior: Original cabinets, Zolatone wall paint, appliances, lighting, tub, accordion bathroom door, tv antenna remote positioner, and slide-out bed. Prior owner removed front gaucho sofa bed. A small dinette fills this space. Prior owner changed cabinet hardware and added ceiling magnets allowing doors to stay open. Flooring was removed down to the plywood floor which is in excellent condition with no soft areas. Floor is painted gray. Accordion door needs repair or replacement.
Systems: Propane tanks are dated 1957 and 1958. They have been updated with OPDs but need new 5-year recertification. Stove works. 12v lights work. Window a/c works. Needs new battery. This Airstream has been used as additional sleeping quarters for guests over the past several years. Bathroom fixtures, water system, water heater, and furnace have not been used but were in working condition recently. Refrigerator is not working at this time. This Airstream is sold as is with no warranties. Brake lights and turn signal lights just checked and are operating correctly.
Also included: Original snap-on fringed exterior window covers, designed to keep sun out while unit is not in use. All window screen frames. The screen material needs replacing. Original Airstream manual passed along by prior owners but it is for a Bambi II. Brown and tan vinyl awning with poles. Wheel dolly.
I have clear Arizona title in my name. I have ownership documents from as far back as January 1969 when title was initially transferred from Wisconsin to Arizona.
