Vehicle description
Action Airstreams is proud to offer this 1963 Airstream Overlander 26’. This trailer has been refinished and is in very good condition. The trailer has many new parts and is in great working order. The exterior of the trailer is in very good condition. The previous owner owned a professional auto painting shop. He decided to sandblast and paint the trailer metallic silver instead of messing with polishing it. The trailer looks great and you never have to worry about polishing or oxidation. The trailer has an A&E Awning attached. The arms of the awning are in very good condition; the fabric is stained but is certainly useable. The trailer has brand new tires on silver painted original rims with the original hubcaps. The interior is in excellent condition. A master Amish craftsman spent weeks meticulously refinishing the woodwork by hand. All the wood work has been refinished and looks beautiful. The interior walls have been painted with a fresh coat of paint and the bathtub has been refinished as well. We installed a solid bamboo floor throughout the trailer. The toilet and bathroom sink are original and in good working order. The couch was upholstered in a dark brown faux ostrich leather. The front couch folds down to make a bed. Both twin bed cushions and bedding are new as well. The trailer features an Amish handmade folding table that was built following the exact dimensions of a vintage trailer table from the 1950’s-1960’s. Here is a list of NEW parts we added to the trailer - Norcold 3 way 110/12v/gas fridge - Suburban water heater with electric ignition - Fresh water tank - Bamboo flooring - 4 tires - Convertor - Battery - Roof mount A/C unit - Water pump - Repaired the original door lock - Dark Brown faux ostrich leather upholstery - Vintage travel trailer folding table
The trailer has few damages. Most of the damages are on the exterior. The trailer has a scuff through the paint on the front street side corner of the trailer. It also has a dent streak along the bottom of the door on the curb side and a streak above the wheel well on the street side. The interior has very little issues, only minor things like the gap in the counter edging by the stove from the edging shrinking as it aged. 4-6” of the awning fabric has separated from the holder where it meets the body of the trailer on the right hand side.
As a side note, this trailer does not and never had a grey water tank. The grey water drains into the black water outlet, which is no issue when you"re hooked up at a campground. If you are off-grid you will need to use a blue boy to contain the grey water.
Overall the trailer is in very good condition. The Interior is a beautiful example of the classic feel of a 1960’s era Airstream. The painted exterior may been a sin to some purists, but it does offer a great look with very low maintenance. The brilliant metallic silver paint job is a beautiful sight in the sunshine. All the new parts in this trailer should keep any issues down to a minimum. All the systems have been checked and are in good working order. It’s a great trailer that has a lot to offer! The trailer is being sold by an Ohio Dealer with a clear title. We may or may not have to charge tax on the trailer depending which state you are from. We are located in Holmesville Ohio.
