1963 Airstream Bambi - Beautiful Restoration. Condition is "Used". This adorable vintage Bambi, named Pheobe, was built for fun and adventure! It has been fully Upfitted and restored by the team at Vintage Base Camp and their attention to detail shows. This 1963 16" Airstream has all the modern conveniences needed while the decor is a nod to its 1960s roots. This is your opportunity to own a piece of history. 1963 was the third and final year for the original Bambi series which began in 1961 with the introduction of the first 16 ft. model produced by Airstream. Only about 1,000 were produced over 3 years. Light enough to be towed by a mid-sized car or any SUV, it sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children comfortably. It weighs 1,850 lbs dry and 2,200 lbs fully loaded. This camp-ready trailer is perfect for a weekend getaway as well as a trip across the country. It has one goucho and one couch. The goucho pulls out to adults sleep two comfortably. There is plenty of counter space for cooking and ample storage space throughout the trailer. The flooring system is by Infinity Luxurious Woven Flooring. This flooring is used in some of Airstream"s high-end trailers. It is waterproof, stain-resistant, and pet-friendly. Cabinet-grade maple was used for all of the custom cabinets, with a UV finish, ensuring that it does not fade. The laminate is from Wilsonart. There is no stationary bathroom but it was built to accommodate a composting toilet. The exterior, which has a few small dents and dings, was polished in 2020. There are no leaks and it has been very well maintained. There is currently a Vintage Base Camp vinyl graphic on the trailer. If requested, this can be removed and the trailer repolished.
