Vehicle description
Up for sale is a beautiful 1962 Shasta Compact! It"s a neat little trailer in great condition that"s ready to hit the road.
DIMENSIONS:
- Approx. 1100 lbs (we towed with a 4 cylinder Outback)
- 10" long (13" including the hitch)
- 6.5" wide
- 7.5" tall
HISTORY:
This trailer"s previous owners found it a few years ago in Eastern Oregon (where it"s much dryer and things don"t rot as easily). They towed it home and rebuilt most of it from scratch, including mostly new wood for the frame, new flooring, wiring, resealed everything, painted the exterior, and added some other enhancements while managing to keep the original vintage charm intact.
My wife and I bought it in July 2017 for our honeymoon road trip in August. I fixed a few things that were broken and added a few additional features (LED lights, fixed gas system and added propane tank rack, new water pump, new jack, door handle, locks, later ended up replacing the leaf springs as well). Everything works, with the exception of the oven (we"ve never tried it - we only used the stovetop).
FEATURES:
- Bed that folds up into couch
- Closet (intended for a porta potty, we just used it for storage though)
- Icebox
- Stove and oven
- Stereo (includes USB and Bluetooth input, operates off of battery)
- 15 gallon water tank and pump
- Sink and faucet
- Locking cabinet accessible from exterior, with slide out drawer)
- LED lights (operate off of battery)
- Shore power plug (this only powers the original lighting system. It works, but we never used it)
- Clean title
Please let me know if you have questions! I can only answer the phone after about 6pm most days so email or text if it"s during the day.
Thanks!
