Vehicle description
Up for auction is this 1970 Shasta Compact camper trailer. There is some water damage to the rear corners that should be repaired at some point but it is otherwise ready to camp in. The dinette folds into a bed for fit for two adults and there is also a hide-away bunk that will fit another adult or two kiddos. The 3 burner stove and oven are in working order, but the gas fridge and furnace are not hooked up. We just used the fridge as an icebox and brought along an electric heater on the cooler nights. There is a 15amp shore power hookup and the original light fixtures are still intact. For boondocking there is a deep cycle battery under the sink that powers a 12v light and a 12v outlet. The faucet can be hooked up to city water or there is a small fresh water tank and handpump as well. For a camper of this size, there is a ton of storage space. Other than the drawers, overhead cabinets, and compartments under the dinette, there are also two closets. One is large enough to store a porta potty if you chose. The brake lights and turn signals are working fine, but the marker lights/taillights did not light up. It might have been an issue with my tow vehicle though, but it"s something that might need to be looked at.This little angel still has her wings! Also, there are a couple new Shasta decals included to put on if you decide to repaint it someday. The Shasta has a clear WI title. It"s been a great little camper, but it"s time for it to go to a new home.
