1961 Airstream Bambi for sale. Rare, in good condition, one of the first Bambi models off the production line. 16 feet long, 1875 lb unloaded. Original kitchen and bathroom area with propane fridge. P lumbing, hot water heater, and propane furnace not tried in three years but worked at last use. Most recently used as a beloved hair salon. Could be used as hair salon or revised for standard use.
The story: Purchased in 2013 from Avalon RV in Benicia, California, this trailer was partially renovated into a hair salon, containing one shampoo bowl and salon chair. The small business was called The Hairstream Trailer and operated for three years at a food truck lot in Portland, Oregon. Due to family circumstances, I closed the business and moved the trailer to its current location. I have now changed career paths, and would like for the trailer to go to a good home.
The pros: upgraded hot water heater (propane or electric options) upgraded grey water holding tank electric works: updated 220v, currently using 110v adapter, battery provides 12v propane stove works (original to trailer) clear title all systems worked at last use, 3 years ago. all systems that have been recently tested function beautifully, but not all have been tested. includes wooden steps to trailer, vintage salon chair, and vanity mirror setup if desired
The cons: small soft spot in floor near doorway two wall sconces not included in sale small ding on rear passenger side bumper (see photos) one nonessential exterior over-the-bulb lens is not intact (drivers side, along body of trailer)
Note: a few drawers are absent in photos, but they were removed for cleaning. will update photos later.
