Hello! My name is David & I am on HGTV"s "Flea Market Flip" with Lara Spencer. I found many of these items at the markets while filming the show & just as we do in every episode, I repurpose/refinish/reinvent & then sell here. Also check out my ETSY site! If you need something refinished or if your looking for the perfect "something", I fabricate lighting fixtures, furniture, bars, wine racks etc. Anything you can imagine I can make it for you! Hi & thanks for looking! Up for auction is my 1959 Avion camper trailer. I originally purchased this as a project to make into a camping place for my kids out in our back field. We also build a skating rink in the winter & this was going to be the "hockey hut". The kids have lost interest & I simply don"t have the time to finish it. In my auctions on old vehicles and things, I try to tell everyone all that I know and sometimes people say I exaggerate but I don"t want you to think it"s all set to go & that your"re going to spend a day or two fixing it up then going across country on a great trip, this is a project. I pulled up approx. 30% of the sub floor which was rotted & replaced it with 3/4" marine grade plywood. Then I installed composite bamboo flooring which locks together & then glued it down. It"s beautiful! I also installed 1/8" birch plywood on the walls and ceiling. It was applied directly onto the existing painted aluminum surface & will come off simply by removing the screws. It"s stained but hasn"t been fully clear coated in all areas. The main door has some screw holes from where someone had installed a pad lock latch. There are just a couple of minor dings but with just a little more polishing, this will shine like new! This trailer sat in a trailer park for close to 40 years & was the park"s office so it has very few miles on it. I have not finished the bathroom area in the rear. Most of the original plumbing appears to still be there as well as where the original kitchen was. Gas lines and electrical lines appear to be original but I"d have a plumber hook up the cook top and the other gas devices & check/replace anything in question. I have had it plugged in & the outlets and the light above the front window works. The front window is a piece of Plexiglas & needs to be sealed around the edges. Tires and wheels are new but it needs a wheel bearing on one side. I replaced the broken door handle and internal mechanism with an insanely expensive original. The jack on front is new. One of the original hubcaps is missing. Let me know what questions you have & I"ll get right back to you!
