This Spartan is a nice foundation for a restoration, in particular for use as a cottage or guest quarters. The exterior is in extremely good condition with very few imperfections and no significant dents or damage. The styling is mid-century modern with substance.
Most of the interior trailer is in good condition. The surfaces can be cleaned up or refinished as desired. The 110 electrical system is in good usable condition. The plumbing is partly demoed out so it"s probably easier to put in all new plumbing with a tankless hot water heater. A water tank could be installed but it"s unnecessary if the trailer is permanently parked and a garden hose is connected to the 3/4" water intake connection which is the original design of the trailer. The original linoleum was demoed out last year to create a solid surface for new linoleum. It"s a big job that now complete will save a lot of time when replacing the floor.
This spartan has its original working door levers and locks, roof vents, windows, screens, light fixtures, working refrigerator and full bath with tub and shower. The insides of cabinets and closets are very clean and do not need refinishing. The frame, tongue and belly pan are in very good original condition with next to no rust. The double axles tow easily with a 3/4 ton truck and a 2-5/16" ball.
As shown in the photos, the trailer has a tree next to it which partly blocked a photo of the driver side. The trailer has no damage on that side and the soft redwood tree fronds won"t scratch or otherwise harm the finish when the trailer is relocated.
The trailer is parked where a building project will begin in late June so the buyer must take possession by then. The seller can have the Spartan delivered in the western states for $1 per mile by a skilled commercial driver who knows how to baby a vintage camper. The rate is $1.50 per mile for destinations east of the Rockies.
