Vehicle description
&nbps; Visit Store 1957 Airstream Overlander - Travel Ready Title Condition: Clear Research has revealed some interesting facts about this trailer. It is titled as a 1958, but is actually a 1957 model - vin is O-7373, which puts it as a 1957 Ohio build trailer.
1957 was the year the end cap design switched from 13 panel to 7 panel. This trailer is a 7 panel design, but was built early in 1957, before the line switched to that design. Meaning, this is likely a prototype trailer for the 7 panel design.
Here"s a nice vintage Airstream Overlander (26 ft) that is ready to hit the road.
Title says 1958 but specs and serial number match 1957.
It has a wonderful vintage vibe and features the original Zolatone paint inside.
This trailer is mostly original but is certainly ready to enjoy in its current condition. It is camp ready, but not off-grid ready as it needs to be plugged into shore power - note the apartment style fridge and microwave.

Notes:
Exterior Condition:
Minor body damage at the front by the propane tanks
Several patches in belly pan, but all intact.
Door hinges and latches reinforced with checker plate bracing - the door likely flew open while underway - a regular occurrence with these "suicide door" designs.
The trailer was polished several years ago by the previous owner - not the greatest pro polish job but it shines nice.
Tires: Excellent and near new
Brakes: Newer within the last 5 years
Exterior Lights: All exterior lights work - all new fixtures and also very nice.
Windows: Broken front window glass, all others in tact.
Two window cranks - front and back - not working. All others functional. Good seals - all close up tight.
Appliances - Original Stove and oven, Apartment Fridge (electric only), Microwave, Instant Water Heater plugs in under the sink.
Plumbing: Larger blackwater tank installed under toilet - no Gray water tank - drains to ground.
LP System: Untested - tanks empty and out of date for filling.
Electric: No battery, 12v system untested. AC has its own dedicated exterior power outlet, separate from the main AC power. AC and DC wiring all original, glass fuse "panel"
*Interior Lights: Interior lights all original - some are 12/v and 120v mixed fixtures. original gas lamp in place.
Range fan original, but does not function
