Vehicle description
1968 Airstream Caravel 17". Rare lightweight trailer in excellent original condition. All original components are intact. Electrical is completely functional, maxxair vent fan installed. Propane stove, furnace and water heater. Copper Plumbing is original and I have not used it, had planned too replace with pex. Could be fine as-is but want buyer to be aware. Have original shower curtain.
Shell is very straight with original clearcoat patina, one scrape as pictured on back left top corner as pictured, some minor waviness on entry side, and fender lines are not perfect. Overall very good for it"s age. Very solid frame and floors, belly pan is completely intact.
Interior is amazingly clean and original. Linoleum floors under the carpet. No musty smells or odors, was kept clean since day one. All windows work, screens and curtains are present. Have original bunk as pictured.
This trailer was one family owned for the majority of it"s life by an engineer. The long term care given this trailer can be felt when you walk inside it. I have the original books and records as well as owners notes. This trailer can be enjoyed as-is, or polished and restored to a high level. Either way it"s a great investment as they are becoming harder to find. Trailer has a clear Colorado title in-hand. Will work with shipping companies as needed.
