Vehicle description
Hello, thanks for looking.
This is a no reserve auction for a 1949 Spartan Royal Mansion trailer coach. This coach is in original condition. Outside, there are a number of dents and skin punctures. The worst is up front - see pictures. Inside the interior is in tact and unmolested. The appliances are vintage but not original. There is water damage up front and beneath the dinette window. The rest of the interior will be salvageable and should clean up nicely. The floor appears solid throughout. Underneath the trailer is very solid. I did not notice any rust-through. The axles and hangers are very solid. The bearings look good. This trailer has four new wheels and tires on it. The front hitch was bent when I got this trailer. I used a hydraulic press to straighten it significantly however there is still an upward bend of about 1.5 inches. To correct this you"d need to anchor the trailer down and apply downward force with a hydraulic press. This is not a particularly difficult thing to do. If you"d like tis to be done before you take ownership, I will help with arrangements. Cost should be minimal. The hitch is very solid and sturdy. It is my personal opinion that towing this as-is would be fine, however I make no guarantees. There is no title for this trailer.
All in all this is a good restoration candidate. If you can get past the beat up exterior, this coach is pretty decent inside and has great cabinets. If not, it could serve as a great parts trailer.
Call or text @ if you have further questions or would like to see the coach in person.
