Rare Model. .1948 Spartan Manor Travel Trailer newly restored and ready for the next vintage trailer rally! This model has 2 entry doors - one in the living area and 1 in the rear (referred to as the "boyfriend" door) both with new screen doors and a very unusual FULL BATHROOM!
“Observation Lounge ”: The "observation lounge" (or living room) includes 2 closets and 6 drawers for storage, a click-clack couch which pulls out to make a double bed and can sleep 2. A small modern electric fireplace keeps things cozy. New Lexon wrap around windows in the front of the trailer were added. The remaining windows in this Spartan are original. Kitchen: The galley kitchen, which is located in the center of the trailer, includes a new seafoam green “vintage” refrigerator and "hidden" microwave. The double sink, stove/cooktop and faucets are all original to the trailer and in good working order. There are ample original countertops for food prep and storage areas in the galley type kitchen. Bedroom/Bathroom: A door separates the kitchen from the bedroom located in the rear of the trailer. There is also a toilet, shower, bathroom sink/vanity area all located in the bedroom. Full bed and original lighted built ins above bed with mirrored backing. There is also a closet for storage This trailer does NOT have holding tanks. Spartan"s were constructed with an aircraft aluminum body and frame. .no swaying and easy to tow…and very lightweight (3700 lbs). The exterior has been polished. Doors have original hardware and working locks. The “porch light” is also original and in working order. I have included a couple pre-restoration photos to show you the original state of this trailer. Since I completed the restoration, we have traveled to vintage trailer rallys in Pismo, Northern and Southern CA. This trailer tows like a dream!
