Beautiful 1948 KIT trailer, I call her Eartha, restored to original condition and ready to camp! This classic beauty is truly a time capsule of style and grace, with all of the original appliances, light fixtures, cabinetry and hardware. Extremely rare, I have found nothing that matches this trailer on the internet, and only 2 Kit"s that are even similar.
-18" total including tongue, 16" body. -76" tall inside at the tallest point. -Weighs in the 2000 to 2500 pound range.
WHAT"S NEW::
-NEW AXLE AND TIRES. She made the journey to Wyoming and back to see the eclipse this summer and she towed like a dream!
-NEW TONGUE JACK.
-NEW WIRING to tail and running lights, flat 4 connector.
-NEW front and rear gaucho sofas lay down into beds, 88" x 48" each, with new, matching cushions and storage underneath. BEDDING IS INCLUDED FOR BOTH-fitted and flat sheets, comforter and 2 NEW pillows for each bed. New curtains also included.
-TOTAL RE FRAME AND REBUILD of the front and rear ends and ceiling, using new birch interior and EVERYTHING got an amber shellac coat.
-NEW heavy gauge Marmoleum flooring in the kitchen.
-Electrical wiring replaced on 90% of trailer.
-All windows and trim including all seam trim pieces have been removed, cleaned and reinstalled with polyurethane sealant and are in working order, screens intact. NO LEAKS.
WHAT"S ORIGINAL:
-ORIGINAL roof vent intact and works and has a lever like the windows, not a crank.
-ORIGINAL art deco interior lights have been rewired and have vintage fiberglass shades on all.
-ORIGINAL municipal water faucet works, with NEW rubber grommets, so no leaks.
-ORIGINAL Coleman stove and oven works and has been refurbished and looks like new. Has current style propane tank with NEW regulator.
-ORIGINAL Champion fridge runs but does not get cold. It did when I bought it, but have taken it camping and has since not. Working on fixing it, but as of now it"s as is. -ORIGINAL green cracked ice kitchen counter top is beautiful even though it has a few cuts and a little wave to it.
-ORIGINAL flooring in the bedroom and front gaucho sofa area. It has some wear spots but it is SO BEAUTIFUL and unique that I had to keep as much as I could.
-ORIGINAL turn signal lights with arrow lenses, which have been rehabbed.
-ORIGINAL baby moon hubcaps.
-ORIGINAL screen door has been completely disassembled and put back together with new screen.
I have 2 keys for the door, but no title, bill of sale.
