Vehicle description
I have decided to part with one of my ww2 jeeps. I purchased it out of a field in New Mexico and then stored the jeep in a shed in dry western Colorado while I was out of state for the last several years. Before that it is my understanding that the jeep was on loan from the US to the French military until the 1980s. After returning to the states it was purchased from a government auction in New York where it was passed down to a family member who I bought it from.
The jeep is in good original condition and has a lot of hard to find parts as you can see in the pictures. It has a mixture of GPW and MB parts. I pulled the powerplant package a few years ago because they were seized. I have since located and rebuilt a rare early right hand fill T-84 transmission, I sand blasted the casing painted and installed new bearings with the small parts and gasket kit. I purchased a L134 Flat head engine that was supposedly rebuilt but I have no receipts or records for this. It has new paint on it so I assume something has been done to it. I have the transfer case sitting in the jeep along with the bell housing, exhaust system, air cleaner, generator and some other parts. I have the radiator for it as well. It has a big battery box between the seats that looks original, I"m guessing this was a radio jeep because of that. The jeep and the contents inside all go with it. Again this jeep has a lot of original hard to find parts that are in good shape.
I have a clean and clear title matching the data tag on the frame. The data plates on the glove box are all in french.
If you would like more pictures please give me your email address and what exactly you want pictures of and I would be more than happy to send them to you.
The jeep is sold as is where is in Crawford Colorado and the buyer is responsible for shipping. I do have a tractor so can push it up on a trailer for shipping if need be. A $500 down payment is due within 24 hrs of auction and the rest in 7 days via cash cashiers check or wire transfer.
If you are overseas and wish to purchase the jeep please contact me before placing a bid, thank you!
