| “The car was repainted with a color change in 2010. The burgundy seats, door cards, headliner and rugs were replaced with tan color at the same time. The wood door to the glove box went missing when the interior was re-done. A replacement dash or wood reproduction would take the interior to the next level. The front/rear lights, speedometer and tachometer are not functioning. The remaining Smith instruments (oil, fuel, amps) are functional.The Radiomobile is missing with just a cut-out remaining in the dash. The telescoping steering wheel functions. The car starts, the automatic transmission shifts and the car runs. While the brakes will stop the car on our lot, service is recommended prior to putting the car on the road.” |

Vehicle description
This Big Cat has all the elements of Grace, Space and Pace. Our car has a 3.8 liter 6 cylinder overhead cam engine. The elegant black and yellow sunroof Saloon has a telescoping steering wheel, power assisted steering and 4 wheel disc brakes ! All of the glass is good, window crank mechanisms work, doors lock, tray tables function as they should. The windshield wipers work and the tires have good tread. The paint and interior (seats, door cards, carpet) have held up well but the headliner needs replacement. There is good chrome and only minor surface rust underside and in the engine compartment. The mileage on the title reads 15,394 but actual mileage is unknown.
Bills Auto Sales was an seller (477 teal star rating) and a licensed VA dealership selling classic and vintage cars in Culpeper. When the business closed, the remaining cars were put into storage buildings on the farm. Now Harness Grove is selling all of the remaining cars in the collection. These are not ‘barn finds’ but they will require some attention before being placed back into service. After years of inactivity we do not recommend driving any of the vehicles until all safety and suspension systems have been inspected. Transporting the cars using a truck or trailer is encouraged.
