Vehicle description
This is my 1976 model 2002. It is my car and I"m not a dealer. I looked at a lot of 02s before buying this one and it is the nicest I could find. Not the nicest I could find at a certain price point, the nicest I could find!. It is tight, rattle free, runs great and everything works as it should.
It is currently lowered and I have a full set of stock height springs that go with the car. The large bumpers were replaced with small, stainless steel bumpers. I have some stock bumpers and parts that go with the car. The stock seats were replaced with E21 Recaro seats. They are covered in tan leather along with the stock rear seat. Door panels and arm rests were professionally died to match the seats and look great.
This is a very nice, straight, rust free car. I have two full file folders of parts receipts and service receipts dating back to the late 80s. I have not added up the parts receipts but I can if you"d like to know. The restoration was completed in 2003 / 2004. It has been driven approximately 12,000 rain free miles since. It has been garaged and well cared for. There are no door dings, dents or other damage. It was a rotisserie restoration with the underside, trunk, engine compartment, door jambs and everything properly / professionally painted. The paint is 17 years old and still looks great. It runs aTI crate long block from Maximillian BMW, TII exhaust manifold, 38/38 Weber and the original / rebuilt 4 speed. It is a very strong runner.
This car lived in CA until the late 90s. It moved East with about 90k original miles on the clock and was restored. It currently shows 12k miles so it has an actual 112k miles. I bought it out of KC about a year ago. I love this car but life changes and I"m just not driving it like I thought I would. I am looking to buy an Airstream and start traveling. This car will end up sitting in my garage and going to waste.
The pictures tell the story. Please ask questions, I will provide more photos and answer all questions. I"ll be happy to take this car for a pre-purchase inspection at the buyer"s request and expense.
I need a $500 deposit via PayPal immediately upon winning the auction. The balance can be in a cashier check, bank wire or cash upon pick up. I will assist with shipping and loading the car on a carrier. All shipping arrangements are the buyer"s responsibility.
