Vehicle description
Presenting for auction is the last of a three year run for the second generation Ford F series truck. This 1955 Ford is a stunning example of the F series that first became available, as it still is today, with its iconic three digit identifier in 1953. This F100 has recently gone through complete restoration and finished in its original color, Sea Mist Green, as the day it left the assembly plant. Although this truck was exceptionally straight when purchased, it was disassembled to the chassis, sandblasted, powder coated and built up from there. Stepping closer to the vehicle updates will begin to emerge. Some are as follows: -20x8” / 20x10” Riddler wheels with mini-tubs. -4 wheel disc brakes -Wilwood master cylinder with Hydra-boost -Heidts Hot Rod Superride II coil-over IFS with power rack and pinion as well their Four Link, coil-over rear suspension. All of which is fully adjustable to suit the owners driving style. -Complete new wiring Harness via American Autowire -MSD ignition and TBI -Fresh 351C custom built in Houston (with Dyno sheets to the new owner) -Engine monitoring is supplied both by the MSD fuel injection as well as new Dakota Digital custom gauge cluster. -Ford AOD transmission -Ford 8.8 limited slip differential with 3.55:1 Richmond gears -Old Air Products A/C and Heat
Special care has been taken while outfitting this truck to not “cut in to” it. Instead attention was focused on preservation the irreplaceable classic styling. Most all sheet metal is original to the truck with the exception of the bed “box”. As shown in the photos, the fuel tank was moved to the bed area, away from the cab, and protected by the frame rails
