This Ford f100 for sale was purchased from the original owner’s wife and has been very well taken care of its whole life. This 1970 Ford f100 is a fine example of a rock solid original, offering a whole lot of value for the fair price. This ford F100 comes in the top of the line Explorer Special package (Premium Package D: which includes packages A,B and C as well) and is in the rare Explorer Green color and interior trim only offered within the Ford Explorer Special package. This Ford f100 is equipped with an automatic 360 v8, has 97k original miles, factory AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, original Premium interior in excellent original shape, polished and waxed exterior in very solid condition with the original paint of good caliber. The finest attribute of this f100 is that it would make an affordable daily cruiser that already drives like a peach and turns heads everywhere it goes; Or, it would be a superior start and well worth the money to take this affordable truck to the next level. This 1970 Ford f100 is the nicest riding, most comfortable cruising truck I’ve ever driven and I’ve had old trucks ever since I was 16. A few months ago, I had this Ford F100 all tuned up and put some other work into it to make it a real nice, reliable driver. I had the rear brakes adjusted, new wheel bearings, new front and rear shocks, new fuel filter, new transmission filter, had the carburetor adjusted, changed out engine oil and transmission fluid, new oil filter and new air filter among a few other things for a total of almost $800.00 ( I have the receipt). There is a crack in the windshield on the driver’s side. The only rust on this f100 that would require body work are the small sections located on the lower front fender panels near the bottom of the front of the doors. There is a dent on the lower drivers door that will require some body work to straighten out, but, it doesn’t really stick out and looks fine in my opinion. There is a dime size hole in the chrome near the bottom of the driver’s headlight from the same incident as the door dent. My mechanic I use (40 plus years as a mechanic and shop owner) noticed there is a weld repair on the transmission housing. The weld is just a repair on the housing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this transmission other than the weld repair. The transmission shifts smooth and does not leak oil. Another easily fixable problem is the previous owner put on an f100 bumper not made to have chrome trim near the rear end. The bumper that’s on it right now is currently pinching those two small chrome trim pieces. It hasn’t affected the body underneath the chrome trim, but, those small chrome trim panels will need to be replaced and the right bumper put on. The bearings in the AC compressor went bad and this was found when I had it worked on. I have a brand new Four Seasons AC compressor still in the box that will come with the purchase. This truck has been garage kept and very well cared for its whole life. It"s a damn nice truck just as she sits right now. I wouldn"t hesitate to take this thing anywhere. In fact, the day I bought it, I had to drive it over 3 1/2 hours back home and she drove like a dream the whole time. I had a blast! This truck is solid as a rock, ready to drive anywhere, turns heads everywhere and is an absolute joy to drive!
UPDATE 3/8/21: Ok guys, this is the situation and I"ll try to make it as quick as possible. I"m selling off my classic Ford collection (1970 ford f100 sport custom Explorer (97k original miles), 1966 Ford f100 styleside (88k original miles) and my 1971 Ford Mustang Hardtop V8 with 53k original miles - all could be daily drivers and all are in great shape). The ONLY reason I"m selling them is because I have no choice and need money. Since 2017 I have had bouts with cancer. In April of 2020 I had to have surgery and radiation again which came with time off of work and bills. I had another bout with it again in December of 2020 (8 months after my surgery) right before Christmas that did not have a good outlook at all and was the most serious of them all, however, I got miracle news and am once again, healthy and all in the clear as of right now. God is good and Life is good! My bouts with cancer have certainly given me a whole different perspective on life in the best way possible! Unfortunately, the time off of work, the resulting bills of two rounds with cancer in one year and the fact that I"m getting married this year at the end of April, have all added up and I"m in a situation where I need money and have to sell off my prized toys.
I figured the fairest, quickest way to get this done, would be to auction them off on Ebay with NO RESERVE. This way, you guys have the best chance at getting the best deal on some really nice classics and I get the money that I need the quickest. It"s the best win-win situation I could come up with where you and I both walk away happy and satisfied in the fairest way possible. I wanted to let you guys know about my situation so that you can bid on this truck in total confidence knowing that I"m representing it as honestly as I can and that the only reason I"m selling is because I have to. I wish you the best of luck in your bidding and I know whoever gets this truck is going to enjoy it and have as much fun as I have had with her! Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions, I"m here to help. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
