Vehicle description

Saab 9-3, blk exterior with premium dark gray accented interior. 6 cyl Aero 280hp, orig top is in 5star shape with minor wear (no breaks in material, no leaking, quiet sedan-like drive with top up). 6 speed manual transmission. A/C blows ice cold, Heat works perfectly. 6 CD Premium sound.
no damage to body, no body rust, new windshield (older one pitted fm years of use, replaced last year). Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 tires, quiet, grippy, comfortable with 95% wear remaining. Stock Turbo works like new, this car is quiet and the engine is quiet peppy, surprisingly agile in all gears. Brakes are in very good condition.
Recent work done: Tuneup with Denso irridium spark plugs and replaced all six coil packs. Stick Shift assemply replaced. Rear strut mounts and shocks replaced with Bilstein shocks & mounts.
Work needed :
Throttle assembly needs replacing. Throttle works, car accelerates, but it lags initially and turbo kicks in good at around 3000 rpm (a healthy throttle assembly the turbo is there from the get-go).
Convertible top opens normally with no hangs or snags. When closing in colder weather doesn"t close all the way, comes up to the mid-range point then stops and settles back to the quarter point. one person can then manually move the top over the "midway hump" point, then reactivating the convertible operator switch and it closes normally and locks steady. Seeing as how it opens to top down perfectly and operates both when starting to bring it up and when locking it up, it"s probably something with a switch but I haven"t had it looked at.
I"ve had the car for 9 years, clean title in hand - this was my sixth SAAB, and driving it with the top down in beautiful New England, whether on the shore, the back roads or in the mountains, has given me thousands of hours of pleasure. Am selling because am going to be overseas for a long while and can"t take it with me, so someone else can get to have all the fun this car has. The above mentioned work, on the coil packs, plugs, the struts and shocks - all were stock components, so having now been replaced means the next owner is not going to have to worry about them for another 80-100K (I got 130k out of them).
CAR IS PRICED TO SELL . I"ve seen 2.0T"s going for 10k, an "08 aero with similar mileage going for 9k. I figure the asking price takes into account the above needed work. I"m in Trumbull CT, let me know if interested - and Merry Christmas!
