I’m helping a customer sell this beautifully restored 1982 Rabbit truck. I did all of the work on this vehicle 5 months ago and unfortunately just after he received it, he underwent back surgery and can not get into it to drive it. The goal was to create a dependable daily driver, with everything, including a/c working - and then be able to take it to an occasional car show. No expense was spared. PPG paint was used and the bodywork and paint job is flawless. The bed was sprayed with color matched bedliner paint, and fitted with a new mat. The wheels were reconditioned and fitted with new Toyo tires. The transmission was rebuilt, the entire injection system is new, new shocks were installed and the interior was dyed and color matched. The carpet was replaced and matching floomats were added The headliner was also replaced. Center console gauges were added as was a digital Retrosound stereo. The windshield, and all door seals and gaskets were replaced. The a/c was converted and works excellent. I’ve personally put several hundred miles on this truck and it’s trouble free.
