Vehicle description
Relisting AGAIN from non-paying buyer and changed to fixed fee well below I"ve been getting maximum bids. My loss is your gain. I have owned this 4runner for over 7 years and it"s amazing. I had no intentions of selling it but a freak incident has lead me here. First, the good . . . 2005 4runner sport with low miles on the LEGENDARY Toyota 4.7L v8 engine (some call it bulletproof and capable of 300-400k plus miles). It"s strong with the highest tow rating of any 4runner (7300#s). It has leather and the cool features of the 4th gen (French fry tray, the garbage bag holder, self sealing rear gate, window remote control . . . ). It"s been extremely reliable for me and handles amazing in all weather conditions (it"s the AWD sport version). The bad . . . a tree limb fell on it. No joke . . . you can see the pictures. It was "totaled" because of a tree limb. I tried to get it fixed. .I wanted to get it fixed but my FORMER insurance carrier refused to allow it. Instead they chose to total it. I know what you are thinking . . . I can just get if fixed myself and classified as rebuilt. That was my original intention. Unfortunately, this happened in August and I just now got the salvage title (3 months later). In the state of Alabama, I"ve been told it will take another 3 months for the state to issue a rebuilt title after it"s fixed and I can"t drive it again until then. Needless to say, I can"t go 6 months without a car so I"ve already had to purchase a replacement.Mechanically, I don"t know of anything wrong with it. Until I got the official total notice and turned in my title, I drove it around. I"ve done regular oil changes (every 5k miles with mobil 1 synthetic) and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere (just 2 weeks before the incident I took my family on a 1500 miles trip in it). Before this, I was planning on keeping it and even adding headed/cooled seats. But now. .I must part with it as I can"t keep it and my new one.Reach out if you want to know anything else. I think it would make a great off-road/rock crawler build . . . would be great as a rebuilt if you have the time . . . or if you don"t mind the dents, you could probably just replace the windshield and enjoy it.Thanks,
