1967 Triumph TR4A IRS with Overdrive. Always wanted a TR4. I am not an expert; this car was bought and restored for my own pleasure, but due to the sneaking up of age, I find it too difficult for me to get in and out of this sports car, so here is a chance for someone to own a car that is rare, beautiful and different.
Fun and fast. Typical sports car exhilarating ride; runs great and performs and sounds like a car like a powerful sports car should.m It is an ALL original "numbers matching " car. It almost new in many respects. I haven"t been able to drive it much, so many parts, etc., still need to be broken in (such as the new soft top - doesn"t snap on to the body as easily as it will) and some functions still need to be adjusted
Engine has been recently overhauled (probably less than 50 miles on it). This TR4A comes with all the rare accessories that Triumph offered : it has OVERDRIVE, SOFT TOP, VERY HARD TO FIND HARDTOP, TONNEAU COVER, INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION (IRS), ORGINAL TIRE TOOLS i.e. - the works.
There are a couple of items I did not hook up, or could use adjusting. All the parts, pieces, etc., are in the car. It lacks for nothing. I have never hooked up or tried the overdrive (mechanic says its in fine shape) the windshield wipers and washers (I live in the desert - thus no need), hand brake needs adjusting, clutch could use adjusting (must push clutch all the way to shift), gear shift could use adjusting. None of these items affect the car or its performance - they are just "useful" items if you want to hook them up, or make the adjustments.
As stated , the car is all original, however I did replace all the parts that would or could be affected by weather or age (i.e. seals, etc,).
New items: 1. New paint (its original color of read. 2. Windshield 3. Windshield wipers. 4. Soft top 5 Tires 6, Complete interior (seats, side panels, etc.) 7. Carpet 8, Overhauled engine 9. I had to re-wire it - I used the original wires 10. Dash 11. Lights and turn switches 12 Accessory dash switches 13. Re-chromed bumpers 14. Undercarriage is great 15. Included, brand new set of body mounts, washers, etc. and others.
Also included is a shop manual and restorers guide.
