Vehicle description
Please follow this link for a more in depth look: https:/ youtu.be/F_AZ0o73g8Y This 930 is finished in stunning Brown Metallic over Tan leather interior featuring Sport Seats. The odometer shows less than 14,000 miles and with only 461 examples built for the US that year, this is truly a rare find.
For 1978, Porsche updated the 911 Turbo (930) by boring and stroking the engine from 3.0 liters to 3.3 liters and was fitted with an intercooler. This resulted in the engine then being rated by Porsche at 265 hp at 5,500 RPM and 291 ftlb of torque at 4,000 rpm, mated to a 4speed manual transmission.
In model year 1975, thanks to turbocharging, a particularly powerful version of the Porsche 930, also known as the 911 Turbo, came onto the market. Since its market launch, the 930 has been the top-of-the-range model in the 911 line. The 930 featured flared rear wings, which gave it an extra 12 cm in width. Black stone guard film was applied in front of the rear wheel arches. The rear lid featured a distinctive wing with a wide black hard-rubber border. Until 1977, the rear lid was made of glass fiber-reinforced plastic. This 1976 Turbo also has an exhaust system with a twin tailpipe. Exhaust gases only escape through the left pipe when the boost-pressure control valve of the turbocharger is open. he car has less than 14,000 miles on it with factory A/C, sunroof, Blaupunkt cassette stereo & Fuchs wheels.
