You are bidding on a very clean 2wd 1997 Ford F-250 XLT pickup with a 7.3 Powerstroke engine. I am the third owner. The previous owners were both elderly and used this truck as a car. I have spent over $5,000 in making this 100% reliable but its just too nice for my line of work. It would get torn up pretty quick in the field. Please read the description and look at the pics. Rust free Texas truck.
Healthy 7.3, 247k. It starts no matter how cold without being plugged in. Uses no oil, doesn"t smoke other than the normal black puff. Never had a chip or tuning.
Within the last 1000 miles I replaced the following engine parts with Motorcraft or International parts whether needed or not. I wanted another 250k trouble free miles.
Injectors and o-rings
Glow plugs Stancor glow plug relay
Injector cups Ipr and icp Injector driver IDM Cps sensor Injector harnesses Main engine harness High pressure lines Turbo o-rings Belt tensioner (Dayco)
Belt Alternator (Carquest)
3" down-pipe (Diamond Eye) Cat removed (can provide cat if needed)
Trans temp gauge (Autometer)
E-fuel conversion (Marty"s Diesel)
Donaldson air filter New batteries Liqui-Moly 15w40 and filters
17-24mpg average I have all the paperwork to back the work done.
Reman E4OD transmission replaced at 195k. (Jasper) Supposedly heavy duty for towing diesel application. No paper work, just a sticker on the door with mileage and the previous owner told me who did it (Apache in Lubbock). Trans also has reman stickers and matching number to the door jam sticker. Its shifts firm and runs cool.
3.55 gears. Cruises around 2000rpm @70
Tires have 500 miles on them. (Firestone)
Matching Alcoa spare. (Tire is good but not new. I was trying to avoid theft) I have factory spare mounting system too.
Ranch Hand rear bumper and headache rack.
Toolbox
OEM bedliner and mat
XLT package. Power windows, locks, cruise. It all works.
Interior is very nice, one small crack in the dash and some minor seat wear.
Towing package. Factory front and rear sway bars. I pulled a trailer once, it pulls smooth and straight.
Its pulled a trailer maybe 5 times since new. Never has had a brake controller or gooseneck hitch installed.
I think have the window sticker and other documents from the first owner. I also have a booklet of every fuel up and maintenance done since the last owner.
Not currently detailed. It could probably clean up more.
Only things wrong that I know of are-
Cracked windshield One washer squirter clogged A couple dings and minor hail dents. See pics
Passenger window has some scuffing
Lumbar pump wont hold air. Abs light. Slight atf seepage at the bellhousing. I"ve never had to add atf.
Trucks is ready to go. I drive it daily so miles will go up. Everything works as far as I can tell.
