Vehicle description
Vehicle Details For sale is a 1986 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat standard cab pickup truck. This truck was purchased new by a farmer who lives a few miles away from our farm through our local Ford dealership (Dan Wachtel Ford a the time). It was his daily driver until 2006 when it was sold to my dad and used as a fuel supply truck during harvest season. We carried a 500 gallon fuel tank in the bed and drove it to fields to refuel our equipment. It has had very few miles put on it since we’ve owned it. This truck has been garaged its entire life. It has been cleaned and serviced before and after the harvest season. I am selling it because we’ve replaced it with a new service truck that will serve multiple functions. The truck has the original two-tone paint. Some of the gray paint is beginning to flake, as seen in the photos. The windows, badges, chrome, and trim are in good shape. There is a small ding on the driver side door, and a small area of rust has emerged at the bottom of the passenger side front quarter panel. Some of the lettering and a piece of trim on the tailgate are broken. The tailgate latch is bent, but opens and latches properly. There are dents on the wheel wells. Paint on the roof is in good shape. Otherwise the body is in good shape. The wheels, bumper, and hitch receiver are original to the truck. Running boards, mud flaps, bug shield, window louvres, and bedrails were added to the truck when it was purchased new. The doors open, close, seal, and latch properly. The interior is all original with the exception of a replaced radio and the addition of a trailer brake controller. The carpet is in good shape throughout the cab and the floormat is in good shape and intact. The pedals are in good shape. The plastic throughout the cab is in good shape. There is a crack in the speaker vent section of the dash (photo). The seat fabric is faded and there is a three-inch tear in the fabric on the seat on the driver’s side (photo). Seat folds forward properly. Seat paperboard backing is intact, however the paint has started to peel on it. Seat belts are original and working. There is some cracking of the plastic around the seat belt latches. Roof fabric is intact. The sun visors are missing. Cab light works. There is a crack on the plastic cab light cover. There is a small split (1/2”) in the plastic on the driver door grip. There are no odors in the cab, other than that sweet scent of a 35-year-old truck!Instrument cluster is intact and clean. All gauges and warning lights work. Original digital clock functions. Heat, A/C, and fan work, but we only use this truck in cool weather, so I can’t testify how strong the A/C is. This truck was not equipped with a tachometer. Equipped with cruise control, but haven’t used it. Power locks work. Passenger side power window is not working, but driver’s side does work. Glove box is intact and features the original owner’s manual. This truck has dual fuel tanks. It is equipped with the original 6.9 L IHI diesel motor. This motor has not been modified. It is equipped with a block heater. No oil leaks. Common items such as batteries (Interstate), belts, and hoses have been changed over time. The truck starts and idles well. No smoke from the exhaust. It accelerates smoothly and brakes evenly. Steering is straight and easy to turn. The ride is a little bouncy, but smooth on smooth roads. Original transmission that shifts smoothly. The chassis is straight and intact. Tires are LT235/85R16. The front tires are Firestone Transforce. One rear tire is a Good Year Conquest AP, and the other a Mastercraft. Over ¼” tread on all tires. This was a top-of-the-line truck during its day and its still in really good shape. Carfax report shows “No Problems” and “No Issues Reported.” Happy bidding.Walk around video: https:/ youtu.be/oL0V4Ys35OU Images Download the Motors app
