Vehicle description

This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is no buy it now price. It takes time, money and effort to post on here, so serious buyers only please! Only bid if you fully intend to close the deal at the end of the auction. If you are the highest bidder at the end, you bought it!
This is a running, driving, and stopping scout that has some good options and features, including the REALLY big 392 v-8, not the 304, not the 345, a THREE NINTY TWO! It comes equipped with an Edlebrock 650 cfm 4bbl carburetor with electric choke, New spark plugs/wires, new alternator and battery. This Scout has the 3 speed auto trans, tinted glass, removable top, recent gas tank/sender/ electric fuel pump, and rubber fuel lines, power steering, power disc brakes, 4 wheel drive/locking hubs, 15 inch wagon wheels, 4 new 30 inch all terrain tires with less than 2 miles on them. The vintage GE fog lights still work! 1973 scouts were not available with disc brakes as far as I can tell, so most likely, a conversion with a dana 44/disc front axle has been done at some point, probably to better handle the 392!
The seats have been reupholstered in black vinyl, 60/40 front bench/rear bench. new turn signal switch, ignition switch, lock cylinder with key, and brake light switch were also recently installed. AM radio is there, non working at this time. Floors are very solid, covered in bed liner, one patch in the bed area and 2 small patches in the toe board area welded in years ago. The body is very solid, no patches were found, not even any speaker holes were ever cut, very straight for age! Truck was repainted in its factory color, Ceylon green poly, factory style graphics also added.
Recent brake soft lines front and rear were installed, along with rear wheel cylinders and new master cylinder. Truck starts up and runs, good power, and it sounds mean! This truck was parked for many years. Tags expired in 1993! previous owner passed away, so all the details are not known, but work was obviously done between tags expiring and now!
Having said that, the truck is almost 50 years old, and may need some adjusting/finishing/tinkering, has not been driven at highway speeds recently, It is not perfect, not a show truck, and it is not a new Honda. This truck is an attention getter for sure, and easy/fun to work on! You are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal! If you are the high bidder at the end of the auction, you bought it! Therefore the $500 deposit through Paypal is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable. You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see it before the auction ends and I will do my best to accommodate you. Make sure you have the funds and the blessing from any significant other before bidding! Be sure to note that the buyer is responsible for shipping. Fresh Texas title in hand. DO NOT use ebay messenger to contact me, just use the old ebay email system, much less problematic! Thanks for looking!
