One-owner Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Formula T-Top coupe with 4 speed automatic transmission, 5.7 liter V8 engine, rear performance axle 3.23 ratio, custom leather bucket seats w/adjustable lumbar supports. All systems are in good working order except for the air conditioning system which will require a new compressor. According to my dealer"s service department, the cost of replacing the whole system will run close to $1,000. The reserve price for this auction has been adjusted downward for the AC problem. The buyer will benefit from having his own mechanic"s warranty in case the AC replacement parts should fail. Not so, should I have the work performed here. The tires were replaced about 5,000 miles ago and I had a new fuel pump installed less than 500 miles ago. The original T-tops were stolen shortly after we bought the car. They were replaced with locking T-tops, but unfortunately, we lost the keys in a move from our previous home, and they have not been removed for a long time. Nothing else has been replaced since the car was new. The Trans Am was purchased for my wife who was the primary driver. Most of the mileage she put on the car was on Interstate highways. She retired several years ago and no longer drives; she has consequently reluctantly agreed to sell her car. The car has been accident free its entire life, and regular maintenance has been performed to ensure that my wife was not left beside the road while she drove to work and on errands. The buyer will be responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. Payment should be either cash on pickup or certified bank check. I will not accept postal money orders or Pay Pal.
