Vehicle description
2015 Porsche Cayman Base w/ MA RECONSTRUCTED title. Purchased in 2016 from a CA dealer that had repaired the vehicle (see IAAI insurance auction pictures). I do not have breakdown of repair work/parts repainted. No mechanical issues. Interior is in very good condition; steering wheel is like-new. Vehicle has been kept off the road during winter months.
See window sticker for options. The car also has the following retrofits: - Tinted Taillights with Clear Center Element (I-XXR) - Cayman S Exhaust Tips - GT Sport Steering Wheel in Leather (I-858). This includes the airbag and steering wheel w/ multifunction buttons from the 718/991.2 generation. Fully functional, uses the STMV1 adapter from gpsadapter.us.
Cosmetic issues/considerations: - Repairs recommended on driver side quarter panel due to narrow slit in paint as well as evidence of rust beginning at bottom of panel. I obtained a repair quote of $1825 from a local independent shop. YMMV. 3M rubberized coating has been applied to the underside of the panel/panel gap and appears to have slowed or stopped further rusting. See 3rd and 4th-to-last pictures as well as video here: easyupload.io/4fp8q3 - Small shallow dent high on passenger side quarter panel not capturable on camera - Partial discoloration on two rims (warn clear coat?) - Standard wearing (aging) of clear coat on headlight lenses - Upward warping of interior door panel trim (google “Porsche 981 door warp”) - Front bumper condition could be better. It shines up well but I speculate it was repainted, which brings with it imperfections. There is also highway road rash as well as misc nicks, scratches, and some (bleh) paint touchups done prior to my ownership. See example pic showing left-lower portion of the bumper. - Paint condition varies - pristine in some areas while others have minor scratches, nicks, paint/color match imperfections, or expected wear with age.
All maintenance completed using OEM parts and at Porsche’s specified service intervals. Tires due for replacement at 56k miles (namely rears as fronts get less wear). Oil change due at 54k miles. No brake work done/yet needed; full set of new Porsche brake pads included in sale.
Sold as-is. Vehicle comes with one key. Price paid is price that will be recorded on title. Please ensure that you have researched your state’s title and registration requirements for Reconstructed title vehicles. Wire transfer preferred, or cash if you’re local. Cashier’s checks also accepted but must clear first. Buyer’s responsibility to arrange shipping. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Outside of my above notes on any imperfections- which I"ve tried my best to pinpoint and draw attention to- the car has been cared for greatly, inside and out, throughout my ownership. I"m only selling as I"ve purchased another vehicle. Buy It Now is priced low.
