Vehicle description
2007 Cayman 2.7L with TPC Stage II Turbo Kit, 25,9XX miles. Factory options: Basalt Black Metallic paint, Stone Grey Standard Leather Interior, Preferred Package, 18” Cayman S wheels, wheel caps with colored crest, Self-Dim Mirrors & Rain Sensor, Heated Front Seats Aftermarket changes: GT3 master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines, PAGID RS14 brake pads (probably > 90% life left), and obviously, the turbo kit. I have not raised the turbo boost pressure beyond the base setting. Apparently, with addition of a boost controller you can squeeze a fair amount more power from the engine. Frankly, it is impressive enough as-is for my needs. I recently dyno’d the car and it laid down a consistent 317 hp at the wheels . The boost, even on the 2.7l, is visceral, and the sound is absolutely mesmerizing. The paint on this car is basically flawless. The paint is so good is because the car was completely repainted in December 2015. At the time, my wife was using the Cayman as her daily driver when a careless, teenage girl, while texting and driving, drove square into the back of her. Thanks. This accident shows up on the Carfax in 10/2015. The insurance company was ready to just throw some parts at the car, but we were a little more particular than that. Fortunately, they worked with us and allowed me to select a repair shop of my choice. We searched for a while before finding a collision center that specialized in these kinds of cars. We interviewed the owner who demonstrated not only exceptional knowledge of Porsche repair, but also a genuine care for our car. We decided to supplement the insurance payout with extra money and have the car completely repainted so the metallic flop would be uniform. They cut and buffed the car, and to be perfectly honest, the finish on the car is better than anything the factory ever turned out. Further, there were fewer rattles and squeaks after they finished the repairs than when we bought it with 12k miles on it. Close inspection of the photos will reveal some blemishes. There is road rash on the driver front rim and a small rash on the passenger rear. The passenger seat leather has a couple of abrasions on the outside bolster. The parking brake handle shows wear, and some of the plastic coloring is wearing on the temperature/fan control rocker switches and drivers arm rest trim, which is not uncommon. Other points of interest: TPMS sensors replaced 4/2015. Full oil service 3/2018 (
