Vehicle description
2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV SE/Special Edition - has the quick charge CHAdeMO port. I"m convinced these cars might have some major historical value one day, as this was the first highway-capable electric vehicle sold to consumers in the modern era and there were only something like 2,000 sold in the US in total (plus, it just looks pretty unique), but I don"t know how long it"d take to become a collector"s item, and not particularly keen on holding onto it indefinitely given how little it was being driven.
Purchased this i-MiEV in 2019 in NC from someone who I think reported being the 2nd or 3rd owner of the car; pretty sure that owner mentioned never or having almost never used the quick charge/CHAdeMO port, nor having driven the car for long distances (other than perhaps when picking the car up for purchase). When purchasing, I had hoped this vehicle would become part of a small fleet of delivery-focused electric vehicles, and as so registered it commercially, but I could never quite figure out the business model in TN, and as so used the vehicle for occasional independent contractor work doing deliveries on gig platforms (in addition to occasionally using it as an occasional daily driver, especially once it became pretty clear the car wasn"t going to be a find a more regular business/commercial use).
You"ll notice that there"s a spare tire on the front left of the vehicle in some of the photos; you will be receiving the vehicle with a standard wheel/tire, I now have the tire and rim for the vehicle ready to be put on and am planning on getting a wheel alignment shortly after that for a new buyer.
Vehicle has not been any serious accidents that I"m aware of, however it did skid on an icy road at a pretty low speed into a stop sign pole while I was driving it (it was either from that skid or another icy conditions low speed impact that same night that the localized front bumper damage on the right side of the bumper visible in one or more of the pictures occurred, I"m pretty sure); at one point managed to clip the roof mistiming/misjudging pulling out of my apartment complex"s raising/retractable gate before it"d fully opened, that left a small windshield crack that I"d debated repairing, but hasn"t expanded that I"ve noticed since it occurred. Also a very minor vehicle to vehicle bump occurred in stop and go traffic at one point while driving in 2019; that might be responsible for some of the modest front bumper damage as well. Floor carpeting is torn a bit on the front driver side; not noticeable if you have a floor mat over that area.
Car otherwise working well, comes with the center console entertainment system with GPS, CD, Satellite Radio-equipped (subscription not included); even a DVD player.
