Vehicle description
2009 Porsche Cayman Base in Guards Red with 6MT Non-IMS Bearing, non-DFI 2.9L Engine with the 6-speed Manual. Purchased CPO from Park Place Motors in Dallas at 46k miles in Summer 2015. Every option for the Base model including 18" Cayman II wheels in black, Bose sounds system, bluetooth, heated seats, auto-dim mirrors, etc. Never raced/tracked/autocrossed. Used as a PCH/I-5 highway road tripper between LA and Seattle. Currently in Seattle. Clean title in my name.
Services:
Clutch replaced by PO at roughly 43k miles.
Paint work to fix a scratch on the driver"s side door and ding on driver"s side engine vent from errant rock. Left rear bumper pad replaced after scratch from other driver"s license plate bolt while parked.
Stereo head-unit replaced under warranty.
Full brakes (rotors and pads) done 06/18. Steering fluid line fitting replaced after small leak in 2018. AOS replaced as precautionary when replacing oil line fitting after seepage found in 2017.
No overrevs. DME report claims 903-2341 in Range 1. No other ignitions in any other ranges. Up-to-date on all services.
Currently 98k miles. No check engine lights, etc.
I searched for a long time to find this car. I didn"t want to deal with the IMS P-cars or any of the 987.2 DFI oil burners and the 2.9L is a lot of fun at the 4k RPM mark. I"m driving too infrequently now to justify taking up one of the garage bays. Ping me with any questions. I have winter tires with two seasons on them I change out in November-March because of the 40+ temps and wet ground we have in the PNW. Available separately if wanted.
