Vehicle description
Hi everyone, up for sale is our 2008 LC200. We"re moving from towing a pop up to a van. I have a clean title and carfax in hand. The SUV needs nothing and is ready to go. This Land Cruiser is being sold as-is, where-is.

About:
2008 LC200 Land Cruiser AWD with a 5.7 liter V8 and six speed auto w/manual shifter. 8500 Lbs towing capacity with and 850 lb tongue weight (the hitch is a factory-welded part of the frame). It has the KDSS system, factory locking central diff and selectable crawl control. It seats 8. There are 9 airbags including side curtains all the way back, side bolsters in the front and rear seats, and a knee air bag for the driver.
It has just about every option except the cooler in the armrest and the rear DVD: High grade leather heated seats with power and memory, complete 2nd AC system for the rear with independent controls for everyone, adjustable rear seats, smart touch entry doors, sun roof – it goes on and on. The carfax sheet has the vin and you can look up the complete spec if you want. Despite all the various goodies it has lived up to the legend, in the 3 years I"ve owned it, It has not needed a single thing repaired.
If you are looking at one of these chances are you know the car already. They"re made in a special factory in Japan where workers have to pass qualification and fitness tests to work on the line. It"s a halo vehicle for Toyota and sold new for$90k. It"s true luxury vehicle, the doors shut with a heavy thunk and it"s well insulated against road noise – it"s a quiet and very refined place to spend your driving time.
The Toyota smart entry system opens the doors with a touch, you don"t have to take the key out of your pocket. But the Land Cruiser"s best feature for us has been the tailgate. We use it just about everywhere we go. It"s just a great feature to have in your life.
Electronics: There"s a 110 inverter, factory nav with backup camera, parking sensors, and a 600 watt JBLaudio system that came from the factory with 14 speakers and a sub. I believe the head unit can play DVDs but we"ve not tried. It has bluetooth for your phone and it works great but it"s pre-music streaming so you need to use the ¼ stereo jack ahead of the shifter to port in your phone audio and music.
We bought the Land Cruiser to tow our pop-up. It"s 3500 lbs and we take maybe a half dozen local trips a year. It tows great and it"s wired for a Tekonsha brake controller that mates to the factory wiring with a model correct harness and no splicing. The 7 pin at the rear is factory. A controller is not included but the wiring is at the dash just below the ashtray.
In all we have really enjoyed this SUV and are sad to see it go.
Condition
The good news is we use it as a family hauler and it"s never been off road. We"re not the first owners but there"s no sign it"s even been abused. We haven"t even had real snow since I"ve owned it. I work from home so it"s had an easy life and I"ve kept it garaged.
Overall it"s in good condition and it doesn"t need any major service. The engine runs great with tons of power. It shifts great. There are no lights on the dash and no leaks. There are some wear items to note:
The brakes all work fine but it is getting on time for brake pads.
We had two car seats mounted in the second row and they have left dents in the leather. They"re not too big a deal but you can see them in the photos.
Also, the leather has a few marks in the finish in the back. The leather is not worn through, they are just imperfections in the surface and could be easily touched up.
Factory tint: The windows all have factory tint and there are a few scratches in the passenger rear door and the tailgate glass.
Rear Mat: The carpet in the rear came to me with some staining and we"ve added some marks ourselves. So please know that the carpet in the rear has both stains and some discoloration. The condition is otherwise fine. There is an older aftermarket fitted rubber mat that comes with the car. The rest of the mats are OEM/Toyota carpet and were replaced about a year ago and are in nice condition.
Tires were new about 2 years ago and our usage is less then 8k per year. I expect they have 60-80% of the life left in them.
Rear bumper: Rear bumper has a dent from a light parking lot bump. I rough touched up the paint at the time and then never bothered to get it painted by a pro. It"s not a nice touch up.
Front bumper: There"s a rub in the paint at the front bumper.
Factory windshield – This is the original Toyota windshield and it has a single small rock chip down where the wipers rest that was repaired by a pro 3 years ago. The spot has not gotten worse since.
Headlights: The headlights are in good condition and have been kept polished but there is some fading across the tops of the lenses. These can be restored or replaced but it"s very minor wear and does not impact function.
Use and allergies: This is a non-smoker car. We do have kids and a dog. So if you"re allergic to kids this might not be the vehicle for you.
Minor wear: Please expect there to be minor wear through out. We are the 3rd owners, the SUV has 150K miles on it over 12+ years of service.
Summary: This is an incredible SUV and it"s ready to go. It"s ideally suited for more family use and we highly recommend it. It"s also primed for just about any camping/tow vehicle/overlanding build you might have in mind. Condition-wise it has it"s share of wear but it does not have the $60k worth of wear you are saving over buying it new. With the cancellation of the model in the USA, it"s conceivable the car will appreciate in the coming years - that"s not something you can expect from any other late model SUV.
I"m am glad to show the vehicle in person and assist with shipping. Please bid early and often and understand that your bid is a contract to purchase. Use the Buy it Now and don"t let it get away.
