UPDATE : The car was driven 160 miles daily from Aug 2007 until Mar 2018 when I retired. Since then, it"s only been driven ~20,000 miles. So, full disclosure , it now produces some blue smoke when started up and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System light now comes on (a bad sensor on one or more of the tires). Despite the blue smoke, which may be due to sitting more than running up and down the interstate, I have never had to add any oil between oil changes (typically done between 5,000 to 6,000 miles). I do not hesitate to drive this car out of state hundreds of miles because it has been so reliable. My oldest daughter lives in South Carolina and we regularly drive this car there to visit with her. I had one mechanical failure from a bad ignition coil wire while still working that required the car to be towed to my local garage for repair. In over 300,000+ miles I"d say that"s a darned good record. For the past 227,000 miles, the car has been regularly serviced and maintained by Eugene Martin of Accu Auto Care, LLC, in Maugansville, MD. Additionally, the price has been reduced to $3,750 to match the price the car is being offered locally on "Offer Up." The car can be seen and driven if you live in the Hagerstown, MD, area. Most of the miles are from interstate driving. The car has been serviced and maintained regularly, and it has never been in an accident! The tires are Michelin Defenders and they have a lot of miles left on them. The A/C compressor and condenser were replaced a couple of years ago, and Toyota performed $3,000 of engine work at 265,000 miles under an enhanced (excessive oil use) warranty. This is a very nice “one-owner” car and has never been smoked in. It comes with carpeted floor mats and Toyota all weather mats as well. It is extremely clean given the mileage and rides very well. I don’t hesitate to take it out of town or on long trips because it has always been so reliable. I retired and wanted a new car since I’ve owned this one since 2007.
